• Saw palmetto may assist with the management of medically diagnosed BPH by acting as an inhibitor of 5-alpha-reductase.3 This is the primary mechanism by which saw palmetto relieves the symptoms of medically diagnosed, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH).
• Randomised, blinded, multi-centered studies have shown the combination of saw palmetto and nettle may reduce the symptoms associated with medically diagnosed BPH in men3,4 These studies have measured significant reductions in specific lower urinary tract symptoms associated with medically diagnosed BPH, including:5

  • Nocturnal urination
  • Decreased urinary flow
  • Hesitation
  • Irritation, dribbling and incomplete emptying
